CAMPINAS, Brazil – Aviagen® Latin America specialists recently joined colleagues from across the industry for the annual poultry congress organized by the Association of Veterinary Doctors Specializing in Avian Sciences (Aveca-G). The three-day event, held Sept. 24–27 in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico, brought together veterinary and poultry experts under the theme Experiences that Transform.
This theme reflects the congress’s purpose: to share in-depth knowledge and practical experiences that contribute to healthier, more sustainable poultry production. By applying the latest science and innovation, participants explored ways to improve bird welfare and strengthen food security across Mexico, Central America and beyond.
Representing Aviagen, Javier Alvarado, Technical Services Manager for Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean (CAME), spoke on best practices for breeder rearing female management, as well as insights on strategies for optimizing the care and performance of male breeders.
Alvarado reflected on the event’s value: “It was our honor and privilege to join this gathering of great minds who are united by a common goal – advancing the production of nutritious and highly popular chicken meat in Mexico and throughout Latin America.”
Rodrigo Cisoto, head of Technical Services for CAME, added: “These congresses provide a unique opportunity to work side by side with fellow veterinarians, exchanging knowledge that helps us improve bird care, strengthen flock health, and support producers in securing a sustainable food supply. By sharing strategies and solutions, we are truly Breeding Success Together – not only for our customers, but also for families across Latin America and the world.”
